H.H. Dalai Lama Interview, California 2006

This is a clip from our second interview with His Holiness.
It took place at his hotel in Long Beach California in 2006.
We had literally 3 minutes to pick a spot, set up the equipment and start shooting with available light.
The time was tight because also wanting to talk to him were (then governor) Arnold Schwartzenegger, Fergie the Duchess of York, one of the Hemmingway sisters, Maria Shriver, and David Crosby.
A very L.A. scene.
This clip is his response to our observation that there seems to be less of a tradition of social activism in Mahayana Buddhism than in other religious systems.
